Welcome to Sunder City

Yes, I wrote a novel. It’s called The Last Smile in Sunder City, and the legends at Orbit Books are bringing it out into the world.

The Last Smile is the first adventure of Fetch Phillips: Man for Hire. Fetch fought on the wrong side of history, and his actions helped to drain the world of magic. Now he works on the streets of Sunder City, taking what odd jobs he can while trying to help those whose lives he ruined.

His first case is to find a missing teacher. Professor Rye is a four-hundred-year-old vampire with a heart of gold in a husk of a body. Most vamps have already crumbled into dust, but Fetch is happy to go looking for some dirt with pointed teeth if it gets him his drinking money. Then, when a young siren disappears, Fetch finds out that this dark world still hides some monsters and he’d better clean up his act before they come into the light.

In the lead up to the release, I’ll be filling this blog with updates, previews, and excited ramblings. I’ll answer some questions. Share some stories. Hopefully, you’ll find it interesting.

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I am so pleased to hear that you are expressing your creativity with your fans and with your own written work.
I hope that you will continue to seek acting roles that are available to those of us here in the states, as I have had a hard time finding any projects that are in production in the US. Best wishes on your continued success and I will be reading your blogs to keep up with your endeavors.

  3. Dear best human being in the world – aka Luke,
First of all, I’m sorry for the amount of grammar mistakes and misspelled words in my comment – I’m not a native english speaker.
I’m really glad that you’re writing a novel, and even more if you share your progress here !
By any chance, do you know if your book will ever be translated in another language than english ? It’s not a problem to read it in english, but, I wish I could actually enjoy it in my mother tongue though.

Keep up the good work !

An already too much excited fan from Europe.
